Inspection Guidelines
Domestic Elevators
- Annual Safety Inspection
- Every home elevator should undergo a full safety inspection once per year to verify structural integrity, hydraulic performance, and electronic safety systems. This is required for compliance with NZS4334:2012
Commercial Elevators
- 6-Monthly Safety Inspections
Annual Survey by an Independent Qualified Person (IQP) - Commercial installations require more frequent checks due to higher usage. These inspections are essential for maintaining your Building Warrant of Fitness (BWOF) and ensuring compliance with NZS4334:2012 and the NZ Building Code.
